The Mick Casey Disco & Lighting Show
An entertaining Disc Jockey with many years experience including radio and television, Mick Casey has worked with many radio and television personalities. He has above average sound & lighting equipment and is able to give plenty of cheerful chat endeavoring to look happy throughout the show's duration, with clever use of the microphone as required. Request forms are usually placed on the tables to allow for requests and dedications.
Competions (if required) and prizes are included in the quoted price.
Specialist music programmes available including Motown, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's up to 2005, request shows, chat shows, competition nights, 18th and 21st birthday parties, wedding receptions and corporate dinner dances.
Regular bookers are Roedean School and many similar college parties, Glynebourne Opera House for the Cast parties, Fortes Hotels, BBC for Prime Minister Dances and
Marks and Spencer (they have been known to change the date of their function to ensure that he can appear personally).
IT IS COMMENTED THAT HE (UNLIKE OTHER DISC JOCKEYS) CAN KEEP AUDIENCES DANCING DUE TO HIS VAST KNOWLEDGE OF WHAT THE GENERAL PUBLIC WANT, DUE TO APPEARING NIGHT AFTER NIGHT AT WEDDINGS, DINNER DANCES ECT. ECT. (IF NOT HINDERED BY REQUEST LISTS. HE WILL OF COURSE PLAY REQUESTS IF DIRECTED TO DO SO OR IF THEY ARE SUITABLE)
In between other large functions, he used to appear in pubs, packing in drinkers. He worked at
The Game Bird, Horley on Sundays for 6 years. His audience used to average out at 800.
The Farmers, Lancing, Sussex for 18 months with an average audience of 350, even though at these venues the management did not allow dancing! Plus Rennies Night Club for 10 years with an average audience of 300. Customers were attracted by his music selection and competitions along with his cheerful and friendly manner on and off the microphone.
Mick casey performes between 1 and 9 shows each and every week. He is supplied from
Radio 1 with the BBC Top 10 music nearly every week and has been on stage every week since he started (except for the occasional holiday around every 10 years). He is, therefore, a fully professional Disc Jockey unlike the DJ's who work only part time and put their main career first and therfore do not have the energy to put their concentration fully on your requirements.
